Welcome to the July 2024 edition of Futureverse News, your monthly update on everything from the Futureverse ecosystem.
Message from Leadership
It’s been another solid month from the Futureverse team and especially for the wider ecosystem of builders on The Root Network.
I am so proud of our team for the launch of Jen: Alpha Release, our generative AI music platform that sets a new standard for copyright compliance in text-to-music generation. Alpha has allowed us to fine tune things and optimise the models as well as new features. With 16 new features coming into the beta release shortly, alongside a larger marketing push, we are feeling confident in Jen’s potential to scale.
I’m also excited to finally announce our partnership and mutual investment with web3 heavyweights Animoca Brands as we begin to integrate our tech into their extensive portfolio of over 400 products.
Last but by no means least, the most exciting thing that has been happening is an influx of builders building on The Root Network. We were excited to see the the public beta launch of Tradeverse and the mints of PorkJet and ROOT Punks bringing new origin stories, games, identity and more to The Root Network.
As we enter the latter half of 2024, we are hard at work on some crucial improvements to our core tech stack, putting the final touches on Episode 1 of The Third Kingdom, and we have a pretty AweSoMe update we’ll be sharing with you all soon. Stay tuned!

Jen: Alpha Release
We are proud to introduce Jen, our ethically-trained generative AI music platform which introduces a new standard for copyright compliance in text-to-music generation.
From novices with a song in their hearts to professional producers, Jen empowers creators to bring their musical visions to life and push the boundaries of creativity.
A pioneer in the field of AI music with multiple patents pending, Jen features proprietary, high-fidelity, waveform-based diffusion models that leverage a unique neural network architecture to deliver tracks in high-quality stereo audio.
Every track is automatically vetted for audio recognition and copyright identification utilizing a database of 150M tracks. This includes both the compositions in the training set and every newly generated track on the platform.
Jen generates a cryptographic hash for each track onto The Root Network blockchain. This process provides an advanced form of verification, ensuring the integrity and timestamp of each track's creation. Verified song outputs receive a JENUINE™ indicator upon generation.
Consumers own the tracks they create on Jen. To this effect, Jen introduces R3CORD™ (launching imminently) wherein consumers can “record” tracks to make them sellable, adding a marketplace layer to personal creations.
In tandem with the [ALPHA] launch, we publish our third research paper: JEN-1 DreamStyler: Customized Musical Concept Learning via Pivotal Parameters Tuning detailing our upcoming StyleFilter™ technology.

Animoca Brands Partnership
We are thrilled to announce our strategic partnership with Animoca Brands, including a mutual investment to grow our technology stack and token ecosystem.
This partnership enhances our open metaverse technology by leveraging Animoca Brands' extensive blockchain-based products.
Together, we will accelerate the growth of The Root Network's ROOT token, ASTO for our AI protocol, and SYLO for social and gaming data oracles.

Chibi Clash - The Alliance
The Alliance event in Chibi Clash Kingdom is a thrilling multi-community competition in which players from various projects compete in strategic challenges over three weeks. Dr. Alex & Allen Wang showcase Jen at prestigious IEEE event
On the 25-27th of June, the 2024 IEEE Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IEEE CAI 2024) was held in Singapore.
IEEE CAI was an industry-organized conference and exhibition focused on artificial intelligence with specific industry applications, connecting AI enterprise leaders and innovators from industry, government, and start-ups.
Dr. Alex & Allen Wang from the Jen team presented at the event, where our research paper, JEN-1 Composer: A Unified Framework for High-Fidelity Multi-Track Music Generation, was selected as one of the top-tier oral papers.
Futureverse Takes Over At NZ Creator Con
On July 5th, New Zealand's biggest creator conference was held in Auckland, where the world's largest platforms, 250 creators and 250 brands and agencies met and discussed the future of content creation. Aaron took centre stage to present some of Futureverse’s leading content creation tools, including Jen and Reebok Impact, to this event of industry experts.

What are your interests outside of work?
I love being in nature. Hiking, camping, scuba diving, rock climbing. I practice yoga and meditation and play guitar. Also love a good summer festival or a rave.
If you could collaborate with anyone, living or dead, on a project for Futureverse, who would it be and why?
It has to be Salvador Dalí. Fun fact, we come from the same region.
I just think surrealist artists would have loved the endless possibilities of the metaverse. In a way, I think their minds were already there.
Oh boy, imagine the brainstorming session… that would be fun.
